The HydraScout probe measures soil moisture and temperature across a representative volume around its sensors, rather than at a single point. It analyzes a volume equivalent to that of a volleyball, approximately 15 cm in diameter, which is particularly large for a probe of this type.

This provides more reliable and consistent data that is truly representative of the area.

Depending on the model and configuration, multiple depths can be monitored to refine irrigation management.
